The Southside Shuffle festival is back this year from September 9th to 11th. This annual Port Credit Blues and Jazz festival takes place at the Port Credit Memorial Park in Mississauga.
There will be 4 stages at the festival and 2 of these stages are free for the public.
The free stage is located at the south end of the park in the vendor village.
The vendor village also has all the food vendors.
The ticketed stage is at the north end of the park. They also have a quiet zone behind the Tim Hortons coffee truck.
During this popular Jazz and Blues festival, there will be several performances each day. International artists from all over the world, such as Germany, Finland, and the USA, will be coming to the shuffle.
At the Brightwater Mainstage, the headliners include Erja Lyytinen, Europe’s Queen of Slide Guitar, the legendary Kim Mitchell and Downchild Blues Band. They will be performing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

There will be other performers too, such as Zoom with Shawn Kellerman, Garnetta & Dagroovmasters on Friday. On Saturday, you will enjoy performances by Wide Mouth Mason, WellBad, and Riley Michaels. The Legendary Downchild Blues Band, Ghost Town Blues Band, Steve Marriner, and Jim Dan Dee will be performing on Sunday.
On September 10th, the Rabba Fine Foods Street Shuffle will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The opening ceremony will feature the Top Hat Marching Orchestra.
There are 2 stages: The Itoco Nopal Cactus Stage, which is the free stage and the Queen Bea Memorial Stage. On the CKRZ Day, you will hear the best in Indigenous blues with music from the Mark LaForme Band, Jeremy Keyes Band, and Dwayne Laforme’s Boogie Blues. Kirsten Prince will be singing at the Queen Bea Memorial Stage.
Other than these stage performances, there will be several bands playing Blues and Jazz tunes in front of stores. There are around 20 bands at the street shuffle from all over Ontario.
