Air Canada Vacations is turning this year’s Giving Tuesday into a chance for travellers to help communities in Jamaica recovering from Hurricane Melissa.

The company announced it will contribute $10 per paying passenger to the Sandals Foundation Hurricane Relief Mission for every new vacation package booked on December 2 and 3, 2025. The move comes as residents continue to deal with the storm’s devastation.
Vice President Nino Montagnese said the goal is to stand with partners and support families working to rebuild. He noted that the effort brings together customers, travel advisors, and the Sandals Foundation to deliver assistance where it’s most urgently needed.
The donation applies to a wide range of bookings, vacation packages, Flight & Hotel bundles, tour packages, and Flight & Cruise options, whether made online through aircanadavacations.com or with a travel agent. Travellers booking during the two-day period can schedule their trips anytime up to October 31, 2026.
Sandals Foundation’s Executive Director Heidi Clarke said the hurricane’s impact has been especially severe on Jamaica’s schools, with more than 400 heavily affected. She explained that early relief has focused on hospitals and immediate needs, but long-term recovery requires rebuilding learning environments that provide stability for children coping with trauma.
Air Canada Vacations is encouraging travellers to participate in the initiative as part of their Giving Tuesday plans. More details and booking options are available through travel agents or the company’s website, while information about the Sandals Foundation’s ongoing work can be found at sandalsfoundation.org.
