All 12+ in Peel Can Book COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment Starting May 20th

Peel Health Unit says COVID-19 vaccine booking will open for all youth aged 12+ who live, work or attend school in Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon on starting May 20 at 9 a.m.

Those who are 12+ at the time of their appointment will be eligible for the Pfizer vaccine as it is the only vaccine authorized for use in this age group.

Peel Health previously said during vaccination youth aged 12-15 should be accompanied by a parent, step-parent, grandparent, foster parent, sibling 18+, legal guardian, or CAS worker so that they can provide consent verbally at the time of immunization. Consent for vaccination has since been updated. Youth aged 12+ can consent to immunization on their own behalf provided they understand the benefits and risks of vaccination.

Proof of age will be required at the time of vaccination such as an Ontario health card or other government-issued photo ID including a driver’s license, passport, status card, a valid health card from another province, or a birth certificate.

Youth 16+ at the time of their appointment can provide consent for themselves.

Booking will open on the Peel Health booking website

William Osler Health is also taking appointments for all 12+ residents of Peel. You may book an appointment online.

There are also some walk-in clinics for 12+.
