The Art of the Brick, a captivating exhibition featuring larger-than-life works of art made from over one million LEGO bricks, is coming to Edmonton.

The latest exhibition by Nathan Sawaya is a must-see for anyone who loves art and LEGO.
With over one million LEGO bricks used to create more than 100 sculptures, the exhibition is sure to make both adults and children smile and reflect.
The collection includes Sawaya’s original sculptures, as well as re-imagined versions of some of the world’s most famous art masterpieces, such as Michelangelo’s David, Van Gogh’s Starry Night, and Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
One of the other highlights of the exhibition is a 20-foot Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton, made entirely from LEGO bricks. In addition to the sculptures, the exhibition also includes an innovative multimedia collection of LEGO brick-infused photography produced in collaboration with award-winning photographer Dean West.
Nathan Sawaya, a former NYC corporate lawyer, is a contemporary artist who has taken the LEGO brick as a medium into the art world. He has gained a top position in the world of contemporary art and created a new dimension by merging Pop Art and Surrealism in groundbreaking ways. Sawaya’s touring exhibition, THE ART OF THE BRICK, has inspired millions of art lovers and enthusiasts worldwide.
The exhibition will run from May 5th to October 9th at TELUS World of Science, with admission prices (science centre + exhibition) ranging from $25.90 for children aged 3 to 12, to $32.90 for adults.
