Farmers’ Almanac has released the long-range weather outlook for the upcoming summer.
The organization, which uses a proprietary formula to predict the weather, calls for a warmer-than-normal summer for most of the country, persisting from late June through early September, titling their forecast “Sizzles Return.’
Farmers’ Almanac says some areas could experience temperatures over 32°C and heat indices approaching 40°C due to the oppressive humidity.

According to Farmers’ Almanac, B.C. will see seasonal temperatures with dry conditions.
While Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba will be “broiling” with high temperatures, the region can also expect above-normal rainfall, with occasional heavy precipitation over the Rockies, Prairies, and Great Lakes from showery rains and big thunderstorms.
Farmers’ Almanac says Quebec and parts of the Maritimes will experience below-normal precipitation. Meanwhile, Labrador and Newfoundland should expect a generally warm and dry summer.
Atlantic Canada may face a hurricane threat during the third week of September, according to Farmers’ Almanac.
Last summer was officially the third warmest in Canada’s history, with summers of 2021 and 1998 coming in hotter. Temperatures across the country in 2021 were 1.6 degrees C above normal.
