Best Banks in Canada According to Forbes

Equitable Bank has secured the title of Canada’s best bank in Forbes’ 2023 World’s Best Banks list, marking the third consecutive year it has received this recognition.

415 banks from 32 countries are featured in the 2023 list of the World’s Best Banks. Canadian banks in the list also include CIBC, Manulife Bank, PC Financial, RBC, Scotiabank, Servus, Simplii Financial, Tangerine and TD.

Per a news release, EQ Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of EQB Inc., ranks as the nation’s seventh-largest bank by assets.

Forbes teamed up with the market research wizards at Statista to compile the 2023 World’s Best Banks list. Statista surveyed over 48,000 customers across 32 countries and 14 languages, gathering feedback on their banking experiences. Banks offering checking or savings accounts were eligible for consideration. To be included in the list, a bank required ratings from at least 250 customers.

The final score comprised general satisfaction (30%), willingness to recommend the bank (30%), and customer ratings in five crucial areas: trust, terms and conditions, digital services, customer services, and financial advice (40%). The number of banks in the ranking varies based on each country’s size, survey audience, and the banks assessed.
