Calgary 
The annual Calgary Pride celebrations began on August 25th, with several performances and the main festival taking place this Labour Day weekend.
Calgary Pride is set to dazzle on September 2nd and 3rd with a two-day festival at Prince’s Island Park. The event promises vibrant showcases from the local 2SLGBTQIA+ community, with headline acts Synthia Kiss, Kendall Gender, and Bratpack. Attendees can look forward to not just music, but food trucks, a curated marketplace, and specialized zones such as beer and sober gardens.
Kicking off the festivity is the 18+ Pride Cabaret Soiree on September 2nd, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The highlight, the Calgary Pride Parade, is slated for 11 a.m. on Sunday, September 3rd, starting from 9th Ave and 4th Street SW, concluding at Fort Calgary. Following the parade, an all-ages festival at the park will keep spirits high until 10 p.m., featuring diverse performances and the film screening of “Too Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar” at 9 p.m.
In a significant gesture, the 2023 Parade Marshals include voices of Trans representation, namely Suzette Mayr, Shane Onyou, Aalayna, Adora, and Cece. Symbolizing Calgary Pride’s core values, these Marshals champion resilience, representation, and unity. Their leadership stands as a testament to the event’s commitment to celebrating and advocating for the gender-diverse community.
Calgary Pride Parade
What: Line up the parade route to see marchers and floats.
When: Sunday, September 3, 2023 | Parade begins at 11 a.m. and is expected to conclude by 12 p.m.
Where: The Parade will begin marching at 9th Ave and 5th Street SW and head toward Fort Calgary, ending at 5th St SE.

Pride Festival
What: The festival features a variety of thrilling performances, food truck vendors, kid-friendly activities, a vendor marketplace, and a beer garden.
