Spas of America: Canada Claims 22 Spots in Top 100 Spas of 2025

Spas of America has released its Top 100 Spas of 2025, highlighting continued demand for wellness travel across North America. The rankings suggest that spa-focused travel remains a priority for consumers seeking restorative experiences.

Canada stands out in this year’s list, with 22 spas in the top 100 list across multiple provinces. Ontario leads the country’s representation, anchored by Ste. Anne’s Spa in Grafton, which ranked No. 8 overall, making it the highest-ranked Canadian spa.

The province is also home to Scandinave Spa Blue Mountain (No. 14), The Spa at Langdon Hall in Cambridge (No. 18), Elora Mill Hotel & Spa (No. 26), The Pearle Hotel & Spa in Burlington (No. 48), The Spa at Q in Niagara-on-the-Lake (No. 51), Vetta Nordic Spa in Oro-Medonte (No. 61), and Thermëa Spa Village Whitby (No. 67).

British Columbia follows with several coastal and interior destinations, including Grotto Spa at Tigh-Na-Mara in Parksville (No. 24), Boathouse Spa at Oak Bay Beach Hotel (No. 41), Kingfisher Pacific Resort & Spa in Courtenay (No. 56), Willow Stream Spa at the Fairmont Empress (No. 57), and SpaTerre at The Josie Hotel in Rossland (No. 66).

Other provinces are also represented. Alberta includes Everwild Canmore Nordic Spa & Hotel (No. 30), Fairmont Spa Banff Springs (No. 39), and The L Spa & Wellness Centre in Grande Prairie (No. 55).

Atlantic Canada appears with Usva Spa in New Brunswick (No. 52), Sensea Nordic Spa and Saltair Nordic Spa & Wellness in Nova Scotia (Nos. 54 and 89), while Quebec is represented by Spa Bolton (No. 92).

Craig Oliver, President of Spas of America, said travellers are continuing to seek experiences that support health, renewal, and meaningful time away, with interest extending to both long-established spas and newer concepts.

While Canadian properties earned strong placements, the top overall ranking went to Sunstone The Spa at Agua Caliente in Rancho Mirage, California. The 10,500-square-foot spa was named No. 1 for 2025. Daniel Spencer, Director of Spas for Sunstone Spa and The Spa at Séc-he, described the recognition as an honor and pointed to the spa’s focus on creating restorative and welcoming experiences.

Overall, the Top 100 list includes 72 spas in the United States, 22 in Canada, five in Mexico, and one in the Dominican Republic. U.S. representation declined by 14.3% compared to 2024, suggesting growing interest in regional and international wellness travel.

New this year, Google Reviews were added to the ranking methodology. Every spa on the list holds a minimum rating of 4.0, with a median score of 4.5.
