Canada’s 100 Best has announced the list of Canada’s 50 Best Bars along with Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants List 2023, showcasing the dynamic culinary landscape of the country.
Canada’s 50 Best Bars provide an extensive guide to the nation’s drinking establishments, including summer patios and encompass a diverse range of venues, from elegant speakeasies to vibrant public houses.
The 2023 list was determined by a panel of over 60 judges, consisting of bartenders, distillers, journalists, and other industry experts.
Topping the list are Civil Liberties in Toronto, The Cloakroom in Montréal and Atwater Cocktail Club, also in Montréal.
Among the winners, notable mentions include XXX, a subterranean speakeasy in Toronto awarded the Best New Bar of 2023, and Christina Veira of Bar Mordecai in Toronto, recognized as Bartender of the Year 2023. Poincaré in Chinatown, Montréal, is celebrated for having the Best Patio 2023.
Civil Liberties, Bar Pompette, Botanist Bar, Atwater Cocktail Club, Cloakroom, Mother, and Bar Mordecai recently won North America’s 50 Best Bars awards.
