Enjoy a morning of free movies and free gaming on November 15.
You can visit the local Cineplex theatre to celebrate Community Day by enjoying a FREE movie and helping raise money for BGC Canada (formerly Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada) on the morning of Saturday, November 15th. The organization supports over 600 communities nationwide, providing young people with safe spaces and opportunities to build confidence and life skills.
Now in its 13th year, on Community Day, Cineplex theatres will show a morning of free family-friendly films, as well as discounted concession items at $3.00 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. only.
Universal Pictures will feature family-friendly titles such as Minions: The Rise of Gru, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Sing 2 and The Wild Robot. During the morning, select concession items, including regular popcorn, drinks, and candy, will be priced at $3 each, plus tax. XSCAPE locations will offer 30 minutes of complimentary non-redemption gaming for visitors.
The Rec Room and Playdium venues will also open their doors from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with free one-hour non-redemption game bands. Until noon, The Rec Room will serve fries and mini donuts for $3 each, while Playdium will offer fries, popcorn, drinks and candy for the same price.
Throughout the day, $1 from every food and beverage purchase, XSCAPE playcard sale or reload, and game band transaction at The Rec Room and Playdium will be donated to BGC Canada. One dollar from every concession order of select items, including popcorn, soft drinks and candy purchased during the event, will be donated to the national nonprofit.

Minions: The Rise Of Gru

From 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. local time, enjoy a morning of gaming and access to attractions with free non-redemption one-hour game bands.
The Rec Room is offering fries and mini donuts for $3 each, plus tax, while Playdium is offering fries, a regular popcorn, a regular drink, and select candy for $3 each, plus tax.
$1 from every food & beverage transaction and $1 from every game band purchase throughout the entire day will go towards supporting youth empowerment programs through our partners at BGC Canada.
