Join prolific Calgary food journalist & cookbook author Julie Van Rosendaal on Saturday, May 16 from 1–3 PM at Knifewear Calgary for a special signing event celebrating her new cookbook, Kathie the Mail Girl’s Mother’s Cookies. Known for her approachable, delicious recipes and warm storytelling, Julie will be meeting guests and signing copies in-store.
Kathie the Mail Girl’s Mother’s Cookies is Julie Van Rosendaal’s fourteenth book, inspired by recipes discovered in her grandmother Madelon Woodall’s recipe box at a time she needed it most. The collection of recipes, from her grandma’s flaky pastry to her great aunt Maud’s Yorkshire puddings and great-grandmother Cora’s beloved butter tarts, this book is a reminder of how food, and the experience of being fed, can bring us back to a time and place, and to the people who love us.
