Was happy to be there at the festival. But not extremely happy with the judges score decisions. One of the things not happy about is that , solo performances are different than a group performance, so judging should be different. Plus when a performer does 1/3 of the same dance as the preliminaries, should not make a top three(3rd) place winning, my opinion, not like others that had a NEW completely different dance, that showed, commenting to the process. Something completely NEW to show something they learned that is new, and not the same thing.

    📣 Friendly Neighborhood Notice 🌸

Hello Wonderful Neighbors around Lot 6,

We’ve sent a letter to all of the neighbors condo board a month before, but we’are writing this letter in case if anyone missed it!
We hope this message finds you well! We wanted to give you a heads-up about an exciting event happening in our backyard. On Aug 12 – 13, we will be hosting a lively outdoor Korean event filled with delicious food, music, and fun.

While we’re super thrilled about this gathering, we also want to be mindful of our amazing neighbors. We know that noise can sometimes be a concern, so we want to assure you that we will do our best to keep the noise levels at a considerate level. We’ll have designated quiet hours starting at 9PM, so you can have your peaceful moments too.

If you have any concerns during the event, or if the noise ever gets a bit too much, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us (cka0607@gmail.com). Your comfort and happiness mean a lot to us, and we’re committed to making this event an enjoyable experience for everyone.

It’s coming to lot six. We just finished taste of Calgary now another one! I love seeing the lot used however the stages seem to be set up right below my living room. Please can you make sure your stage is as far away from apartments as you can. There are a lot of apartments in this immediate area. Please be kind to us and keep the music volume to a level we can live with. It doesn’t need to be extremely loud to be enjoyed.

PLEASE turn your music/loudspeakers down!! We can hear you clearly from 3 blocks away, it’s super annoying even w/ all the windows closed!!

I was expecting the Korean Community to make this event as a means of sharing their culture with their own communities and those outside of their community – like the Turkish, Ukranian, Greek festivals…. I was wrong. This is an event for Koreans. The signs are in Korean, there’s no information booths, the announcements are in Korean, their website is in Korean. There is no inclusivity of outsiders. I didn’t see a schedule for dances/song/events…
    The food was good though!
