Charley Crockett’s journey to the stage is as compelling as the songs he sings. Born in San Benito, Texas, and raised between the Gulf Coast and the Southwest, Charley travelled widely as a young man — hitchhiking, busking on street corners, and performing anywhere he could. That road-worn authenticity is the backbone of his unique sound, a blend he calls “Gulf & Western”: a rich mix of classic country, blues, Southern soul, and Americana.
Joining Charley Crockett as a special guest is Kashus Culpepper, a rising artist whose voice stops listeners in their tracks. Born and raised in Alexander City, Alabama, Kashus blends country, soul, blues, and Southern rock into a sound that’s deeply emotional and unmistakably his. Before pursuing music, Kashus served in the U.S. Navy and later worked as a firefighter — experiences that add grit and sincerity to the stories he tells through song. Though he only began playing guitar a few years ago, his talent quickly drew industry attention. His breakout track “After Me?” helped build an online following, and he’s now considered one of the most exciting emerging voices in the Americana and country-soul world.
