Events Description
Sons of Town Hall, the transatlantic folk duo of American songwriter David Berkeley and British producer Ben Parker, blend music and storytelling into a unique performance art. Under the aliases Josiah Chester Jones and George Ulysses Brown, they portray 19th-century vagabonds who travel the world in a hand-built boat, escaping troubled pasts in search of adventure and love. Their live shows combine rousing songs with wild, hilarious tales, creating an immersive experience that transports audiences to their mythic universe.
Their podcast, Madmen Cross The Water, expands this world, offering radio-theater-style episodes that delve into the duo’s misadventures and reveal songs from their forthcoming album, Of Ghosts and Gods. With lush harmonies and witty storytelling, the podcast and live performances provide a much-needed escape from modern life, leaving listeners and concertgoers captivated by their tragic beauty and relentless optimism. Praised for their seamless vocal blend and imaginative storytelling, Sons of Town Hall have been compared to Simon & Garfunkel lost at sea
