Events Description
The Chef’s Table is a farm-to-table feast with menus curated by Canadian chefs and musical entertainment. Presented by the Festival of Small Halls, this year’s series will run for six nights in September in collaboration with the National Arts Centre’s chefs-in-residence program.
The Chef’s Table will host chefs Helena Loureiro (of Portus 360 and Helena Restaurant in Montreal), Kenton Leier (National Arts Centre), Pascal Ménard (Global Affairs Canada and Rideau Gate), Ian Bilodeau (Museum of History) and Sheila Flaherty (of sijjakkut in Iqaluit).
Celebrate a special occasion with a three-course meal from world-class chefs – or just enjoy reconnecting with your closest friends over food, music, and the beauty of a summer night by the Rideau Canal. Safe and distanced group dining on a spacious patio, with musical entertainment provided from a nearby boat.

Helena Loureiro (Montreal)
Chef Helena Loureiro is the Executive Chef and owner of Portus 360 and Restaurant Helena in Montreal.
Kenton Leier (National Arts Centre)
Chef Kenton Leier is a second-generation chef, born and raised in Saskatoon, in the heart of the prairies.
Music: Dueling Pianos (Dave Kalil, Tyler Kealey, Todd Huckabone)
Dave Kalil, Tyler Kealey and Todd Huckabone have been a staple of the music scene in Ottawa known as the Duelling Pianos.
September 18 – 19:

Executive Chef Kenton Leier brings enthusiasm, passion, and creativity to the kitchens at Canada’s National Arts Center.
Pascal Menard (Global Affairs Canada)
Chef Pascal Ménard is the Executive Chef for Global Affairs Canada and Rideau Gate.
Ian Bilodeau (Canadian Museum of History)
With origins in Québec City’s beautiful countryside, Chef Ian Bilodeau often spent time on the family farm enjoying his grandmother’s cooking and the fabulous homegrown produce that a farm has to offer.

Blessed with a searing three-octave range, Rebecca’s voice has been featured on CBC’s The Vinyl Cafe, BBC Radio in the U.K., Sirius Radio in America, and Radio Bremen in Germany.

Executive Chef Kenton Leier brings enthusiasm, passion, and creativity to the kitchens at Canada’s National Arts Center.
Sheila Flaherty (Iqaluit)
With a love of cuisine that originated in Ottawa, while observing and absorbing her father’s passion for cooking, Chef Sheila Flaherty now brings us the experience of authentic Inuksuit cuisine, (or Inuit food), from her home in Iqaluit.
Music: HOROJO Trio
HOROJO Trio is a soul rockin’ rhythm & blues act that features drummer Jamie Holmes, singer/keyboardist Jeff Rogers, and guitarist/singer JW-Jones, who was named the year’s Best Guitarist at the IBC.
