Events Description
Attracting over 8,000 guests each year, the First Nations University of Canada – Spring Celebration Powwow is Saskatchewan’s premier indoor powwow.
Get ready for two unforgettable days filled with powerful drum groups, amazing dancing, and the spirit of community that makes this celebration truly special.
It is an all ages event and is open to the public.
With the powwow, the university looks to host and share the Indigenous culture through song, dance, entertainment, food and trade.
The powwow is a come-and-go event with exciting and colorful performances that run continuously throughout the afternoon and evening, beginning with the Grand Entry at 12 noon and 7 p.m. on Saturday and 12 noon only on Sunday.
The event ends with a “retiring of the flags” ceremony at about 11 p.m. each night.
Plus — this year’s powwow will feature specials to honour FNUniv Alumni in celebration of the First Nations University of Canada’s 50th Anniversary! Don’t miss these heartfelt and historic moments!
