Events Description

Nuit Blanche Regina is a transformative after-dark arts festival that affords goers the opportunity to experience art like never before. For one night, a Regina neighbourhood is taken over by artists and creatives in an attempt to disrupt the concept of an urban environment. Viewers of all ages are invited to take-in this event, by foot or bicycle, and celebrate both emerging and established artists working in new media technologies, performance, dance, sculpture, traditional arts and more.

2026 Nuit Blanche Regina
Nuit Blanche Regina has implemented a curatorial theme to help reflect our initiatives and collaborate with the artists we work with. This year, we invite artists to step into The Great Unknown, a thematic exploration of what lies beyond our understanding or control.

The Great Unknown

For the 2026 Nuit Blanche Regina Festival, we invite artists to step into The Great Unknown, a thematic exploration of what lies beyond our understanding or control. Through visual and conceptual storytelling, we encourage artists to blur the lines between imagination and reality, offering interpretations of that which is unknown.

Whether exploring the realm of impossibility, imagining alternative futures or shifting landscapes, investigating the mysteries of the universe, or the inner self, The Great Unknown offers space for experimentation, curiosity, and intervention in an era defined by uncertainty. Within this open-ended framework, artists are encouraged to engage personal reflections, explore cultural meaning, and to consider broader social and political conditions through the lens of Saskatchewan arts.

Nuit Blanche Regina’s one-night-only celebration of contemporary art (re)imagines, disrupts, and transforms public spaces in the downtown plaza with temporary, site-sensitive installations and performances. Shaped by encounters between festival attendees, artists, and the very structures or landscapes the works displayed interact with, this format mirrors the curiosities and impermanence embedded in the framework of this year’s theme.

Nuit Blanche Regina values diversity and inclusion, and we particularly encourage applications from underrepresented and equity-deserving groups. We are seeking projects that foster connection, celebrate diversity, and help build lasting relationships within Regina’s vibrant community.
