Events Description
GenTO: Toronto AI Film Festival is a celebration of the emerging world of AI-enhanced filmmaking, bringing together filmmakers, artists, creative technologists and film enthusiasts to explore the evolving possibilities of cinematic storytelling.
Taking place on December 5, 2026, at Innis Town Hall, University of Toronto, the festival showcases a curated selection of AI-assisted short films, advertisements and music videos from creators around the world, alongside filmmaker Q&As, industry panels, behind-the-scenes discussions, networking opportunities and an awards ceremony recognizing creative excellence.
As AI filmmaking gains momentum in Toronto and across Canada, GenTO provides a platform for the growing community of creators to showcase their work, exchange ideas and connect with industry professionals. By bringing international perspectives to Toronto’s vibrant film culture, the festival aims to foster dialogue, experimentation and collaboration at the intersection of filmmaking and emerging technology.
