Events Description
Join us to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Gather at The Village for a day of contemplation and reflection created in partnership with True North Aid.
Learn about the impact of the Residential School system on more than 150,000 First Nations, Inuit, and Metis children between the late 1800s and 1996.
Follow True North Aid’s self-guided Reconciliation Walk, reading about the residential school system as you wander through the village.
View art installations by local and Indigenous artists.
Take part in reflection and art-based activities.
Consider how you can follow The Truth and Reconciliation Committee’s 94 Calls to Action in quiet spaces located around the village.
We encourage you to wear an orange shirt while participating in this day of education and remembrance.
