What to Do at Grizzly Bears of the Wild?
Guided by a First Nations guide, start on an wildlife watching journey. Take in the natural beauty of northern Vancouver Island and coastal mainland while learning more about First Nations culture. Know the traditions and history of First Nations people, and listen while your guide share knowledge of aboriginal art, songs, stories, local interpretation of the landscapes, historical insights and more. Your trip takes you to the territory of Grizzly Bears. Watch as they forage the shores for food or travel ashore along the Xakwikan River. As you travel past the Gilford Island, you can see the oldest standing Big House in Canada – Gwayasdams.

How to get to Grizzly Bears of the Wild?
Sea Wolf Adventures: Grizzly Bears of the Wild starts and finishes in Port McNeill, on Vancouver Island. Access Port McNeill from Victoria via Highway 19. Alternatively, you can drive to Port McNeill from Port Hardy Airport (30-minute drive).
The tour departs from 1514 Broughton Blvd, Port McNeill at 7:00 AM daily from North Island Marina. Those travelling from Alert Bay will be picked up at the government dock at 7:20 AM (email or phone in advance).
Includes boat transport, cultural sustainability fee, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks, binoculars
Carry waterproof apparel, hat and hiking boots, medicines, sunscreen lotion and any other personal requirements. Dark clothing is preferred.
