THIN AIR / Livres en fête is an annual fall celebration of books and writing. Discover some of the most exciting new books, both English and French, from writers across Canada. Our line-up is eclectic! Spend some time with fascinating people, and find your new favourite book!

THIN AIR 2025 kicks off with a bang at our “Made in Manitoba” Book Fair. The Carol Shields Auditorium at the Millennium Library will be transformed into a market of Manitoba publishers showcasing the vibrant writing and publishing industry in our province.
Across the hall at our Reading Lounge in the Anhang Room, Eadha Bakery will be selling tasty food and drink, and you’ll have a chance to hear local authors sharing their work at the top of every hour.
Meet the folks who bring your favourite (or soon-to-be-favourite) books to life! Come out and support the local Manitoba publishing and writing community.
