Overview
Designated in 1974, this 1.78 hectares park is located within the vast sand and gravel ridge of the Sandilands Provincial Forest. This natural-looking setting has jack pines. and blueberry and bearberry shrubs, white-tailed deer, black bear, ruffed grouse and more. Primarily intended for day use recreation and a staging area for the network of trails adjacent to the park.
Activities include picnicking. The park is mainly intended as a staging area for cyclists, horseback riders, snowmobilers and cross-country skiers using trails in and adjacent to the park. Have fun at the Marchand Logging Days held annually every August.
Near the Park: Pocock Lake Ecological Reserve a protected area is near the Provincial Park.
Located within an hour’s drive is the Sandilands Forest Discovery Centre. Its nature trails, museum, natural forests, fire tower makes it a must visit place.
