Toronto’s summer kickoff street festival is back this week with its longest Do West Fest so far, going all the way from Shaw St. to Lansdowne Ave., along Dundas St. W.
Presented by Little Portugal Toronto BIA and produced by Uma Nota Culture, Do West Fest, formerly known as Dundas West Fest, is kicking off Toronto’s busy summer festival season this weekend.
Prepare to be enchanted by live music performances, indulge in delicious eats from local food trucks and vendors, and discover unique crafts and artisanal products. The festival has something for everyone, including children’s activities, interactive projects, BIA member programming, and volunteer opportunities.
The festival stages are scattered throughout the event area, each offering a distinct experience. The Lulaworld Stage at 1630 Dundas Street West will showcase the powerful musical traditions rooted in Africa, featuring a weekend filled with jazz, samba, hip-hop, and more.

To kick off the festivities, join the Portugal Day Flag Raising Ceremony on June 8th, 2023, at The Little Portugal Toronto Barcelos Rooster. And remember, as the festival spans a larger area this year, Dundas Street West will be closed to cars from Shaw Street to Lansdowne Avenue, creating a pedestrian-friendly environment for all to enjoy.
