Edmonton Riverboat will be back cruising the North Saskatchewan River for the 2026 season this May.

Edmonton Riverboat
Edmonton Riverboat offers a calming river cruise on the North Saskatchewan River on a 339-passenger paddle-wheeler.
The 2026 season will begin on May 7.
In addition to sightseeing cruises, which offer stunning views of the riverbanks and city skyline, the 2026 season will also include special themed events like brunch/dinner buffet cruises, Mother’s and Father’s Day cruises, Duelling Pianos Cruises, and Canada Day fireworks Cruises.
Passengers can choose from indoor or outdoor seating to fully appreciate the scenery. Onboard amenities include refreshments and light meals with options for meat eaters and vegetarians, although vegan choices are not available.
Edmonton Queen began sailing in 1995. It was sold in 2016 for $553,000, underwent costly renovations, and began sailing again the following year.
In 2024, the boat was sold again, with Davy and Eric Warnke as the new owners.
The Edmonton Queen Riverboat usually sails until October, depending on the North Saskatchewan water levels.

Just finished a paddle boat tour on the Mississippi – was wondering if there are any tours that sail down or up the Saskatchewan River from any point – lasting say a week. Would love to do one.
As far as we know there are no guided tours. You can plan a DIY tour using maps from Paddle Alberta– https://paddlealberta.org/product-category/maps/.
Here are all the options in Edmonton: 2022 article — https://www.todocanada.ca/fun-water-based-activities-and-adventures-for-this-summer-in-and-around-edmonton/
For a more unique trip, we suggest Red Deer River through badlands. See section 5, https://www.todocanada.ca/places-to-go-tubing-floating-and-guided-raft-trips-in-and-around-calgary/

How much for a 3 year old and do you have availability tonight at 8
Hi Carey,
It’s something we’re definitely working on, and if you reach out to me via email I’d love to get some of your feedback. We’ve made some changes to improve the user experience but there’s always room for improvement. Feel free to reach out to me directly with your feedback: matt@edmontonriverboat.ca
Your booking is convoluted and confusing. There are no clear times and you have to guess on availability. Your back button sends you to the beginning where it is several non-intuitive clicks to get back to booking. What I want and everybody else wants when they go to your site is to book a cruise quickly without routing around. Yet I have given up. Seriously thought about the Canada Day fireworks booking as well but will not wait for “more information.” Once and done. Check your site analytics. There are more of us in the “same boat.”
