Edmonton to Reopen Recreation Facilities and Attractions Starting June 10th

The city of Edmonton has announced that recreation facilities and attractions will reopen over the course of June when the province moves to Stage 2 of Alberta’s Open for Summer plan on June 10.

The city will carry out regular cleanings of the facilities throughout the day and deep cleanings in the evenings.

Face coverings will be mandatory at all facilities including indoor and outdoor spaces at the zoo and Heritage Amphitheater.

Visitors will be required to follow physical distancing rules at all facilities — 3 metres for all recreation centres and 2 metres for all other facilities.

During Stage 2 of the provincial reopening plan, all facilities will be limited to 33 percent of fire code capacity and visitors will need to reserve a time slot at MoveLearnPlay.edmonton.ca.
