ONroute locations are rest stops on the sides of 401 and 400 Ontario highways equipped with gas, food and beverage options, 24/7 market, free Wifi, and other amenities.

Now, Ivy Charging Network‘s level 3 fast-chargers that will support the charging of all EV models, including charging ports for Tesla drivers are available at:

  • Cambridge North
  • Cambridge South
  • Napanee
  • Odessa
  • West Lorne
  • Dutton

According to the news release, each location will have between two and four chargers to serve EV drivers and will offer charging speeds of up to 150 kWs, delivering up to a 100 km charge in 10 minutes.

Ontario, last December, announced plans to set up Ivy Charging Network chargers to all 23 ONroute locations. The deployment of charging infrastructure will see ONroute locations along highways 401 and 400 equipped with at least two EV chargers at each site, with busier sites equipped with more.

Ivy Charging Network is a joint venture between Hydro One and Ontario Power Generation.

Natural Resources Canada, through its Electric Vehicle and Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Deployment Initiative, invested $8-million to help build the Ivy Charging Network.
