The Saskatchewan Library Association (SLA) is teaming up once again with the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) and the Saskatchewan Regional Parks Association (SRPA) to bring you an extraordinary summer experience.

Canada Day in Saskatoon

From June 15 to September 8, 2026, you only need a valid library card to borrow a pass from any Saskatchewan library.

With this, you can enjoy a seven-day loan period with free access to nearly 100 regional parks across the province.

Who needs to break the bank on pricey vacations when you can explore the beauty of nature right in your own backyard?

This year, 850 passes will be available for distribution, and the best part is that all regional library branches, as well as libraries in Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert, and even university libraries in Saskatoon and Regina, will be offering these passes.

Saskatchewan’s parks offer a plethora of recreational opportunities, from breathtaking hikes and serene lakes to hidden camping spots and top-notch golf courses. The aim of this program is simple: to break down barriers and inspire people to connect with nature. And who can resist such an enticing offer?

Remember, these passes are in high demand, so hurry to your local library and borrow one in person. Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Contact your local branch for more information and get ready to embark on a summer filled with outdoor exploration and unforgettable memories.
