Calgary 
The Water Lantern Festival, which toured Canada in 2019, is returning this month.
The festival offers a family-friendly atmosphere, inviting people of all ages to join in creating lasting memories. The event invites people to share the experience of launching lanterns onto the water, symbolizing hope, love, happiness, and peace.
According to the organizers, the Water Lantern Festival promises an unforgettable night where the community can come together, enjoy food trucks, and watch as the illuminated lanterns create a mesmerizing display on the water.
Each ticket provides entry to the festival, a floating lantern kit, an LED candle, and additional items such as a commemorative bag, conversation cards, playing cards, and a marker. The ticket prices range from $38.75 to $75.99, covering the costs of lantern retrieval and water cleanup after the event.

- Calgary – July 26
- Edmonton – August 3
- Ottawa – August 10
- Kitchener – August 24
- Toronto – September 21
- Hamilton – September 28
Other cities like Montreal, Quebec, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Mississauga, and Halifax will also host the festival on dates to be announced.
