Enjoy a relaxing bike ride down country roads, past charming orchards, picturesque farms and wineries. The Great Annapolis Ride will begin on Saturday, July 23rd and end on Sunday, July 24th.

Your weekend getaway will start at the Grand-Pre National Historic Site, where you will check-in at 8 a.m. There are two riding options available: grande and classic. The total distance covered in the grande and classic options are 137.8 km and 116.7 km respectively.

On the first day of your adventure, you will be riding your bike from Grand-Pre National Historic Site to Scotts Bay. You will see many stunning sights on your way, including the Gaspereau Valley and the Minas Basin. You will be heading up the North Mountain and then down to the Halls Harbour and back up the other side. Before reaching your destination at Scotts Bay, you will pass by the renowned Lookoff.

You will also be given lunch as well as snacks and water at rest stops.

At Scotts Bay, you will be camping overnight. All your luggage will be transported from Grande-Pre to Scotts Bay and then to Wolfville. From the campsite, you can enjoy stunning views of the Bay of Fundy. You will also be served dinner at the Long Table Social Club.

You can stay at The Farmhouse Inn B&B instead of at the campsite. 4 rooms have been reserved for cyclists and reservations have to be made before May 20th.

On the second day, after you enjoy a delicious breakfast, you will begin riding back up the North Mountain. The paved roads will offer views of Minas Basin. If you want to see the shoreline, you can take the dirt road down Stewart Mountain Road that runs along the Blomidon shoreline. You will then ride past the coastal farmlands and along the Harvest Trail down to the waterfront in Wolfville – a ride of 42km.

You will be riding in small groups. Each group will be accompanied by experienced riders. Cyclists will be provided with an electronic ride guide before the trip. SAG vehicles will be present during the ride. They also have signage at key intersections and bike mechanics in case you need any help with your bike.

Early bird tickets can be purchased until May 20th (Friday). Tickets cost $215 for adults and $195 for youth (12-17 years).
