Prepare your hearts and lungs this Halloween season, as one of Alberta’s most well-known Halloween attractions has reopened its doors for the 2025 season.

Haunted Hike
After three years away, the Haunted Hike, created by the Glowatsky family, has returned to Vegreville, marking 15 years since it began in Sherwood Park.
The Haunted Hike originated as an outdoor event that quickly gained popularity for its elaborate scares and community focus. In its first four years, it raised over $150,000 for the Stollery Children’s Hospital and other local charities. The attraction was revived in 2019 in Vegreville, where it has since been held indoors.
For 2025, organizers have announced significant changes, including a new three-storey building that doubles the haunted space. Visitors can expect new themed rooms, professional set designs, and interactive performances from live actors in custom costumes. Enhanced special effects and animatronics are also being introduced to elevate the experience.
The event runs weekends until November 2, 2025. Two levels of scares are offered: a family-friendly Kids’ Hour without actors for $10, and the Scary Hour full experience for $20–$25.
The Haunted Hike is located at 5225 52 Avenue, Vegreville, Alberta, across from Young Farts RV Parts.
