The Banff Santa Claus Celebration of Lights is set to bring the holiday spirit to downtown Banff with a festive day of activities and entertainment.
This beloved event returns after a hiatus since 2019, with a new format that ditches the traditional parade in favour of a re-imagined, full-day celebration on Banff Ave.
On the main stage, talented local and Albertan artists will perform throughout the day, accompanied by whimsical street performers, “Santa’s Workshop,” and other magical activities for the whole family to enjoy.
As the sun sets, the highlight of the event will be Santa and Mrs. Claus leading their dancing elves and performers down Banff Ave for the main show. Santa will preside over the lighting of Banff, with special guest appearances adding to the excitement.
The event’s entertainment lineup includes a diverse range of performers on the main stage and in the Storytelling Dome. Families can also visit Santa’s Workshop to engage in festive crafts, while roving performers will keep the festive spirit alive throughout the day.
This event is free and open to the public, promising a festive and joyful atmosphere.
If you’re considering a visit to Banff, why not turn it into a complete weekend experience by exploring additional seasonal events and attractions? These include the In Search of Christmas Spirit, the delightful Hot Chocolate Trail, the bustling Banff Christmas Market, and ski resorts.
Please note that in the event of extreme weather conditions, the Santa Claus Celebration of Lights may be modified or cancelled.
