Immerse yourselves in the world of Picasso this Fall in Vancouver.

The company behind Imagine Van Gogh is bringing Imagine Picasso to Vancouver after a successful show in Quebec City.

Imagine Picasso will feature more than 230 projections of the famous painter’s works projected onto gigantic origami.

Conceived by Annabelle Mauger and developed by Julien Baron, you can see the best of Picasso paintings sourced from prestigious museums like Musée Picasso in Paris, the Museu Picasso Barcelona, the MoMa in New York, the Pushkin Museum in Moscow and also from private collections.

The creators use special warping techniques, thereby staying true to the artwork – “the choice of images, the way they are positioned, their rhythm and their association with the music” together respect the integrity of the original paintings.

“The aim of this immersive exhibition, accessible to all, regardless of age, language, and culture, is to open the space to emotion, dreams and contemplation for everyone, even the youngest visitors,” said Androula Michael, the curator specialising in Picasso’s work.

If the success of Imagine Van Gogh is any indication, you might want to get tickets soon for the date of your choosing. The tickets go on sale on Saturday, September 11 th at 10 am.
