Toronto’s House on the Hill will be transforming into a spooky castle once again this year.
Visit Casa Loma for Legends of Horror, an immersive theatrical Halloween walking tour through the 5-acre grounds and the depths of the castle’s 90,000 square foot structure.
During October, you can marvel at the beautifully created sets and vignettes from horror movies and stories from all times while experiencing the castle’s tunnels and darkest spaces brought alive by over 70 actors as you walk the shadowy 2-kilometre trail that winds through the historic site.
Tickets for the event cost $40 to $60.
This year, the scary attraction called, Zombie Apocalypse. will also return. The haunted attraction is themed around “the world of fictional pharmaceutical giant Biolux and its new wonder drug: the Biolux Serum, a purported solution to aging and disease, which renders subjects into cannibalizing contagious zombies.”
Zombie Apocalypse is located at 175 Kendal Ave and begins on October 13th and is a separately ticketed event.
Casa Lom is also home to some of the best holiday events in GTA. Keep an eye out for Casa Loma’s Christmas events for kids and adults which usually include magical lighting and daytime holiday performances.
Legends of Horror
What: Casa Loma will be transformed into an immersive theatrical experience, Legends of Horror. Done in the presentational form considered “promenade theatre”, in which the audience walks at their own pace through a 2 km trail commencing in the lower gardens of Casa Loma and winding its way through the castle’s tunnels and darkest spaces never before open to the public. A crescendo of the production is the 3D projection on the exterior of the castle which brings the characters of the storyline and the walls of the castle to life.
