The park system will use a staggered launch date approach spread over five days.

As per Manitoba Parks, those planning to camp should create an account on the Parks Reservation Service and familiarize themselves with its policies, campsite photos, and descriptions before the launch date.

To secure your preferred site, list your top choices and prepare your device by updating your browser, clearing your cache, and restarting your device to avoid any technical issues.

On launch day, all visitors to the site at 7:00 a.m. will be placed in a random queue to ensure a fair process.

  • Cabins and yurts also need a two-night minimum online, with single gap nights bookable only by calling the call centre at 1-888-482-2267.
  • Initial reservation limits are two items per cart for cabins, yurts, and group use on April 13, increasing to three on subsequent launch days, and five after launch dates.
  • Cabins and yurts have a 7-night maximum stay, while campsites allow up to 21 nights.
  • Specific sites in Bakers Narrows, Birds Hill, Falcon Beach, St. Malo and Winnipeg Beach require a 7-night minimum in July and August. Any unsold gap nights of six nights or fewer must be booked through the call centre or in person at the local campground office.

If you don’t get a reservation at your desired campground:

According to Manitoba Parks, campgrounds in Birds Hill, West Hawk and Falcon Lake in the Whiteshell, Winnipeg Beach, Kiche Manitou in Spruce Woods, Grand Beach Provincial Park, Gull Harbour in Hecla/Grindstone and St. Malo Provincial Park are the busiest.

Venture beyond the familiar confines of Manitoba’s popular campgrounds to discover the province’s hidden gems, which include over 50 different parks.

Manitoba Parks advises booking on weekdays or in shoulder seasons for better availability and not shying away from late bookings to take advantage of last-minute cancellations. Embracing flexibility, opting for non-electric sites or exploring less-known locations can dramatically ease the challenge of securing a spot, especially during peak seasons.
