Getting out and exploring all the beautiful nature that Manitoba has to offer is a great way to get to know the province. But some people don’t love the idea of hitching up a tent or renting an RV, which is where comfort camping comes in. Here are a few places to try comfort camping in Manitoba.
Riding Mountain National Park
This national park is one of the most beautiful places in the province. Along with some gorgeous hiking trails and incredible sights year-round, there’s also the opportunity to do camping in style. There are yurts, oTENTiks, and MicrOcubes.

Asessippi Provincial Park
You’ll find this gorgeous provincial park in Inglis. Located on Lake of the Prairies, you’ll get the chance to relax by the water, go for a hike, or try your hand at fishing and explore the famous Frank Skinner Arboretum trail. There’s also the opportunity to go comfort camping here in a super cozy yurt if you want a super luxurious experience.

Bakers Narrows
Looking to do some camping around the Flin Flon area? This is a truly unique part of the province. At Bakers Narrows, you’ll get to see some incredible sights from Bakers Narrows scenic tower and fun activities in Lake Athapapaskow while you stay nice and cozy when you rent one of their yurts.

Nopiming Provincial Park
There are some incredible things to see and do at Nopiming Provincial Park as well as some excellent camping options. Spend some time hiking scenic Tulabi Falls trail, canoeing Tulabi Lake or Elbow Lake, swimming, and even cliff jumping while you’re here.

Nopiming Provincial Park is located in southeast Manitoba and is approximately 180 km from Winnipeg, and 400 km from Brandon.
Duck Mountain Provincial Park
Childs Lake campground at Duck Mountain Provincial Park is a great option for campers who enjoy little fishing. Childs Lake has plenty of fish, along with some breathtaking sights. There’s also the option of comfort camping in yurts, which is sure to elevate your camping experience.

Paint Lake Provincial Park
This park and lake truly lives up to its name. Its stunning beauty will make you feel like you’re really in a painting. Head here and explore its countless islands, enjoy some beach time and consider staying in one of the six yurts if you’re not interested in tenting.

Clearwater Lake
You’re going to love spending time at Clearwater Lake, where you’ll get the chance to sun yourselves at one of three popular public beaches or step into the cool “secret” caves. The park also has plenty of water activities, hiking, and the wildlife spotting oppurtunities. This is also a popular fishing spot. Spruce Woods
If you want to get to know everything that Manitoba has to offer, you’ll want to consider heading to Spruce Woods. The park feature 14 yurts, and you’ll love exploring everything this park has. Check out the Spirit Sands and the Devil’s Punchbowl if you want to hike in one of the province’s most unique areas.

Camp Morton Provincial Park
Not far from the town of Gimli, you’ll find Camp Morton. Originally established as a camp for underprivileged and orphaned children, today it’s a popular campground for everyone. Consider renting out one of 14 family vacation cabins or 6 yurts for some true comfort while you explore the area.

Stephenfield Lake
There’s plenty to do if you camp at Stephenfield Lake. This beautiful park offers some great hiking trails, along with the opportunity to get a little fishing in while boating on the reservior. Whiteshell Provincial Park

Hecla/Grindstone Provincial Park
It won’t take you long to fall in love with Hecla. This park – with regions of coniferous and mixed forests, limestone cliffs and silica sand beaches, as well as marshes, bogs, fens, and wet meadows – is beautiful and welcoming year-round, and there are cabins by Manitoba Parks here for a luxurious stay. While you’re here, you’ll want to make sure you take the time to hike out to Hecla’s lighthouse.
And like some of the most popular provincial parks, Hecla/Grindstone also has resorts, private cabins and lodges.
