The 12-athlete final followed a familiar format: three runs per skier, with only the best score counting. After opening with a 69.76 that already had her sitting third, she crashed hard on the landing of her final jump in run two. Instead of backing off, she reset.

Her third run was the one that mattered. Oldham cleaned up the rail section at the top, then linked back-to-back double cork 1260s before finishing with a 900 tail grab. The run earned her a score of 76.46, locking in the bronze.

Gold went to Switzerland’s Mathilde Gremaud, who posted an 86.96 on her second run. China’s Eileen Gu took silver with an 86.58 from her opening run.

For Oldham, the medal closed a lingering gap. At Beijing 2022, she finished fourth in big air and missed the slopestyle final by one position. This bronze is Parry Sound native’s first Olympic medal.

It also ends a long wait for Canada. The last Olympic medals in women’s ski slopestyle came at Sochi 2014, when Dara Howell won gold and Kim Lamarre claimed bronze.

Earlier in the Games, Valérie Maltais delivered Canada’s first medal, skating to bronze in the women’s 3000m speed skating event with a time of 3:56.93.

Norway leads the medal table with six total medals, including three gold. Switzerland sits second with four medals, followed by the United States with two gold. Italy has the highest overall total at nine. Canada is 14th overall, with two bronze medals and no gold or silver so far at Milano Cortina 2026.
