Key adjustments include increases to most fare categories.
Arc single-trip fares will rise from $2.75 to $3, while cash fares increase from $3.50 to $3.75. The adult Arc monthly fare cap will be set at $102, up from $100. Arc is the Edmonton region’s electronic fare payment system.
For seniors, the monthly cap will increase from $35 to $36, with the annual cap adjusted from $385 to $396. Youth fares see a reduction, with the monthly fare cap dropping from $73 to $66. Ride Transit Program fares will increase by $1, depending on income levels.
Eligibility changes will also take effect. The youth fare category will now apply to riders 18 years and under, meaning individuals aged 19-24 will move to the standard adult fare category. UPass and other discounted fare options remain available for this group.
Children 12 and under will continue to ride free when accompanied by a paying adult, a policy consistent with ETS’s previous fare structure.
Additionally, ETS will introduce new Arc multi-day passes for single riders. The three-day pass will cost $24, while the five-day pass will be priced at $30. These passes, valid only on ETS vehicles, will allow unlimited travel within their respective durations after the first use. They will be available at Arc vending machines in LRT stations, transit centers, and the Edmonton International Airport.
The city the new fares aim to support the city’s transit operations and maintain reliable services for Edmonton residents.
