Pursuit, the attractions and hospitality company that operates Banff Gondola, is bringing Nightrise, a multi-sensory winter experience that merges multimedia, storytelling and nature for a new and inspiring perspective at one of the most dramatic and visually stunning mountain landscapes in the Canadian Rockies.

The installation was created with the participation of the Stoney Nakoda Nation.

“This experience provides an opportunity for guests to deepen their knowledge of the historical impact and cultural significance the Stoney Nakoda Nation has held in the town of Banff and beyond. By telling a story in such a visual and sensory way, this project gives the Stoney Nation the opportunity to tell our story through the footprints of our ancestors and the traditional ties we hold to these lands,” said Kirsten Ryder, Training & Development Director, Stoney Nakoda Nation.

At the top of the Sulphur Mountain, visitors can freely explore the many levels of the Banff Gondola building and enjoy Rockies-inspired cuisine in addition to other activities like Alpenglow.

“We hope Nightrise will encourage moments of gathering, of wonder and become an unmissable evening attraction for locals and visitors alike,” said Jonathan St-Onge, General Manager, Moment Factory.

Terra Lumina at Toronto Zoo

Moment Factory has created various experiences that bring people together by exploding the computer interface and taking people off their screens and into the outdoor world. Famous installations include Rainforest Lumina at the Singapore Zoo and Island Lumina in Iojima, Japan.

Terra Lumina at Toronto Zoo is one of the most recent projects in Canada by Moment Factory.

Others include Vallea Lumina in Whistler and Nova Lumina that illuminates the seaside town of Chandler, Quebec.

Foresta Lumina in Coaticook, Quebec was Moment Factory’s very first multimedia night walk.

We are very interested in this event and would like to give gift certificates to our married children. We are interested in ten tickets. Reservations would be made after Christmas, each couple according to their schedule. If we purchase gift certificates, are brochures available to give to our children?
I look forward to an early response so that we can make plans.
