Sunbeam Products Inc., in cooperation with Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has recalled several models of Oster French Door Toaster Countertop Ovens due to a burn hazard.
The recall affects four models: TSSTTVFDXL, TSSTTVFDDGDS, TSSTTVFDXLPP-033, and TSSTTVFDDAF-033. Each features glass French doors with metal handles that can spring shut unexpectedly. The design flaw may cause users to suffer burns. The ovens differ by cooking functions, such as air frying, and by their control systems, either analog dials or digital buttons. The name “Oster” is engraved on the lower right corner of the front panel, and model numbers are located on the back or packaging.
As of September 22, 2025, no incidents or injuries have been reported in Canada. However, U.S. authorities received 95 reports of doors closing abruptly, including injuries. Two of those cases involved second-degree burns.
Consumers are urged to stop using the ovens immediately. Sunbeam is offering free repair kits with installation instructions. Customers can request the kits by calling 1-800-667-8623 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, or by visiting recall.oster.com
