It’s maple syrup time, and one of Ontario’s famous Maple Syrup Festivals is back, complete with maple-themed events, artisan vendors and live entertainment.

Warkworth Maple Syrup Festival
Get ready to embrace the sweetness of spring in the charming village of Warkworth in Northumberland County.
The festival returns on March 14, giving you a perfect excuse to plan a March Break trip to Trent Hills.
From Warkworth village, you can hop aboard a complimentary shuttle bus to Sandy Flat Sugar Bush and indulge in a scrumptious pancake breakfast, horse and wagon rides, maple taffy on snow, and live musical entertainment.
Here you can learn about the historical and modern traditions of boiling sap, with sap-making demonstrations, taffy on snow, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and a log-sawing contest. Enjoy the musical entertainment as you take a scenic sleigh ride through the tall sugar bush.
The fun continues in the village, where you can explore the downtown area, packed with shops, boutiques, and cafes brimming with maple-themed items.

Don’t miss out on this year’s special events in the village, including the Artisan Show and Sale at Warkworth Town Hall Centre, featuring 25 vendors from within Northumberland County and beyond.
You can also explore Warkworth through a storybook walk and try your hand at mini-putt at St. Paul’s United Church.
When you’re feeling peckish, Warkworth has a variety of fantastic eateries to choose from, including The Shop (Pizza), Jeanine’s Backtalk Cafe, K Okay Cafe & Roasters, The Pastry Shop, Centre & Main Chocolate, Robins Nest Farm Market, and Kroes Croquettes. And if you’re in the mood for shopping, make sure to stop by some of the unique stores, such as Cheeky Bee Candle Co., Frantic Farms Clay & Glass Gallery and Douglas Morlock Blacksmith.
The festival will also feature a beer garden at 30 Main St.
The fun-filled Warkworth Maple Syrup Festival runs on March 14 and 15. Admission to most Village activities is free; Sandy Flat Sugar Bush costs $5, and a pancake breakfast costs $15 and $10 for kids.
Remember to return in late May for the annual Warkworth Lilac Festival.
