Organized with RASC and Assiniboine Park Conservancy, the free event offers safe viewing through solar telescopes at The Leaf in Assiniboine Park from 12:30 pm to 3:15 pm.
- Seductively thrilling, “Carmen” entices audiences with its passionate tale on April 13, 17 and 18, 2024. Carmen, a captivating woman, ensnares soldier Don José, leading to jealousy and tragedy. Set to Georges Bizet’s iconic score, including the renowned Habanera and Toreador Song, the opera mesmerizes with its Spanish rhythms and timeless melodies.
- MTYP’s Musical Theatre Company presents “Something Rotten!” In the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom strive to create a successful play but are overshadowed by “The Bard.” A soothsayer’s prophecy leads them to pursue the first musical. As they navigate opening night’s chaos, they learn the importance of authenticity. Plays from April 12 to 14, 2024.
- Watch the free screening of ‘Night Raiders‘ on National Canadian Film Day at the Dalnavert Museum. Set in a dystopian version of North America in the year 2044, Night Raiders follows Niska (Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers), a Cree woman who joins forces with a group of underground resistance fighters seeking to free their children and save their future. Screens on April 17, 2024, at 7 p.m.
