6. Trek the Crow Wing Trail

This 191 km long trail, the longest section of the Trans Canada Trail in Manitoba, connects Emerson to Winnipeg through the municipalities of Emerson, Franklin, De Salaberry, St-Pierre-Jolys, Niverville,  Ritchot, and the Roseau River First Nation. The Crow Wing Trail offers unlimited opportunities for nature lovers, birders, artists, historians, photographers, cyclists, and explorers.

9. Camp at the Delta Beach

Located on the southmost rim of Lake Manitoba, Delta Beach is a popular destination for day-trippers as well as campers. Lake Manitoba is Canada’s thirteenth-largest lake and the world’s 33rd largest freshwater lake. The campsites were refurbished and the amenities updated, so this is a great time to go camping.

The Millennium Trail is a 15 km loop around the City of Thompson and is open to hike or bike or mountain bike during the summer months. 19. See World’s Largest Coca-Cola Can

Visit Portage la Prairie to catch a glimpse of the World’s Largest Coca-Cola Can. This towering structure is located on the southwest corner of the parking lot at CanadInns Hotel. First constructed as a water tower by Manitoba Iron Works Limited in 1905 in Winnipeg, this 85-foot (26-metre) structure was relocated to its present site and later re-branded by Coca-Cola.

20. Come From Away

Experience the moving true story of Come From Away, presented by Mecca Productions at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium in Brandon. This uplifting musical follows the people of Gander, Newfoundland, who welcomed thousands of stranded airline passengers after 38 planes were diverted there on September 11, 2001, celebrating compassion, friendship, and the power of community.  — September 10 – 13, 2026

The Dawson Trail Heritage Tour showcases the natural, cultural, and historic legacy of Canada’s first all-Canadian route to the West. This self-guided drive takes you along scenic Dawson Road from Richer to Lorette, uncovering the stories that shaped Manitoba and Canada.

48. The Pansy Hall Fall Supper

Dig into a hearty Ukrainian smorgasbord at the Pansy Fall Supper, featuring fried chicken, meatballs and gravy, cabbage rolls, perogies, nalysnanky, salads, pickles, dessert, and more. 49. Visit the Gimli Glider Exhibit

Be educated, enlightened, and entertained at the Gimli Glider Exhibit.  The exhibit tells the unique story of Canadian aviation history and has several displays and memorabilia. On display are parts of Guan 604, a large commercial passenger airliner that took its place in history on account of a skilled landing with no fuel.
