The Manitoba Fibre Festival is adapting to the unique realities of 2020. As Covid-19 pandemic protocols continue to restrict the size of indoor events, we have cancelled our venue booking at Red River Exhibition Place and are planning for a more decentralized experience.
This will include a “fibre trail” of small in-person gatherings in urban and rural Manitoba as well as a variety of online offerings.
Manitoba Fibre Trail –
the Manitoba Fibre Trail comprises farms, studios, museums, shops and displays around southern Manitoba and Winnipeg where you can meet other fibre people and find a great variety of vendors.
It’s a “choose your own adventure” self guided tour. Look carefully at this list of locations and hours, and plan your route. Some locations are only open one or two days, and some vendors will move from one location to another on different days. See how many you can visit on Friday, Saturday and Sunday September 11, 12, & 13.
Tickets : Admission is free to the festival market, demonstrations, and spinning circles
Workshops are ticketed
WHEN & WHERE
Date & Time: September 11 – 13, 2020
Venue & Address :
Any indoor locations will be limiting the number of people inside at a time in order to meet the current Covid-19 precautions. Masks are recommended indoors. Please carry hand sanitizer, and limit touching of items on display. Hard to do with all that delicious tempting fibre, but essential for us to keep each other safe. Consider pre-ordering through a vendor’s website if possible so that your purchases are ready to pick up when you arrive.
