Starting today and running through Feb. 1, the Special Olympics Donut is available at Tim Hortons restaurants across the country, and 100 per cent of the proceeds from every donut sold go directly to Special Olympics Canada.

The funds support year-round sport programs for more than 40,000 athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These programs are designed to help athletes train, compete, and build confidence, not just in sport, but in everyday life within their communities.

The Special Olympics Donut features a chocolate cake ring donut topped with white fondant, whipped topping, and colourful sprinkles. The multicoloured design is intentional, inspired by themes of diversity and inclusion central to Special Olympics Canada’s mission.

Special Olympics Canada has been operating since 1974, delivering programs through sport clubs in 12 provincial and territorial chapters. Its reach spans all ages, from toddlers as young as two to older adults, with programming that goes beyond competition to promote confidence, connection, and healthier, more inclusive communities.
