Spring Break is around the corner and Winnipeg International Children’s Festival is back with the 2023 edition of Festival of Fools. Get ready to be entertained during your school spring break with tons of hilarious shows, circus workshops, and swinging trapeze acts!

Winnipeg International Children’s Festival

The Festival of Fools is a week-long free family festival filled with jaw-dropping performances from top international variety artists, acrobats, magicians, and jugglers.

Be prepared to be amazed by the likes of Billy Kidd, a famous magician whose skills will leave you in awe. Or Chanelle Munroe, one of the few women in the world to execute the dangerous bullet catch. And let’s not forget Gustavo the Impossibilist, who will make you laugh with his outrageous stunts.

Other performers include Mike Battie, a hilarious comic juggler who will make you see broccoli in a new light. Mr. Mark, the king of kooky drumming and songs, will also be returning to his hometown to entertain audiences with his signature bucket tricks. And don’t miss out on the Silly People duo, Phil Leconte & Colin Franks, who use yo-yos and Diabolos to create a one-of-a-kind silly fest.

The Festival of Fools is being held on the second floor of The Forks Market in Winnipeg, so mark your calendars for March 25-31, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM. This non-profit event is made possible through the support of the community, and after each show, performers will “pass the hat” for cash donations, which will stay in Manitoba.

All shows are absolutely free, but make sure to get your tickets beforehand as seating is limited. Strollers and wagons must be parked in the designated area during the show to make space for all the amazing acts.

Get ready to have a blast and be thoroughly entertained by the street circus duo, Dan & Kim Craig, who have been wowing audiences around the world with their incredible acrobatics and feats of circus strength. Don’t miss out on this fun-filled, family-friendly festival of fools!
