If your Halloween plans could use more bouncing, dancing and glowing spiders, Witchy Wonderland is returning to Red River Exhibition Park with a fresh new look.

Witchy Wonderland runs from October 22 to 31 across two weekends and will feature inflatable attractions, a Halloween-themed train ride, a dance area, farm animals, live entertainment, costumed characters and selected nights of fireworks.
What to expect:
The 2026 edition of Witchy Wonderland is being presented as a family-focused Halloween event rather than a conventional haunted attraction or midway.
Organizers have replaced attractions such as the Scary-Go-Round and other rides with activity areas intended to encourage children and families to move between different interactive experiences.
Day Trips During Fall from Winnipeg
Costumes are encouraged, and the programming is designed to offer a lighter version of Halloween entertainment rather than an intense scare experience. Visitors can expect themed displays, performers, roaming characters, food vendors, and several activities spread throughout Exhibition Park.
Fireworks are also scheduled on six evenings during the event.
What is new and what to see and do:
One of the main additions is Boo-Bounce, described by organizers as Winnipeg’s largest inflatable park. It will contain 11 inflatable attractions where children can jump, climb and play. Shoes must be removed before entering the inflatable area.
The Pumpkin Patch Express will take passengers on a Halloween train ride through a new feature called the Tunnel of Terror. Despite its name, the attraction is intended for families and is being positioned as playful rather than frightening.

Another new area, the Electric Cauldron, will function as a Halloween dance space featuring electronic dance music, lasers, and lighting effects.
Visitors will also be able to stop at Hooves n’ Howls Barnyard, where farm animals will be available for viewing and interaction. The area adds an agricultural component to the Halloween programming.
Ghostlight Grove will feature a glowing spider house along with Halloween creatures, decorations, and other themed elements.
Face painting will also be available, with designs ranging from skeletons and zombies to animal and fantasy themes. Unlike the main attractions, face painting is not included in general admission and will require an additional payment.

The Spellcasting Stage will host performances and appearances by costumed characters. Characters will also move through the grounds during operating hours, giving visitors opportunities for photographs.
Several returning attractions are also planned, including the mining tower, dinosaur displays and a magical sandbox.
Food vendors will operate on site, but food and beverage purchases are not covered by the admission price.

Witchy Wonderland will run on October 22 to 25 and again from October 29 to 31, 2026.
Operating hours vary by date:
- Oct. 22: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Oct. 23: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Oct. 24: 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Oct. 25: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Oct. 29: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Oct. 30: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Oct. 31: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The entrance gates will close 30 minutes before the scheduled end of the event each night.

Where is the event:
Witchy Wonderland will take place at Red River Exhibition Park, 3977 Portage Avenue in Winnipeg.
Visitors must use the park’s West Gate, located at the top of Festival Drive. Drivers can access Festival Drive by turning north from Portage Avenue near the Flying J.
The East entrance from Race Track Road will not be used for the event. Parking at the AS Downs lot will also not be available.
Free parking will be provided in the west parking lot off Festival Drive, immediately outside the main entrance.
The Red River Exhibition Association is also providing a free Winnipeg Transit shuttle between Unicity/SmartCentres at 3655 Portage Ave. and the Witchy Wonderland entrance. The shuttle is expected to operate continuously, with brief stops at both ends of the route for passengers to board and exit.
How much does Witchy Wonderland cost:
General admission for anyone aged three and older is $19.05 plus GST, bringing the total ticket price to $20. Children aged two and under are admitted free.
Admission covers the main activities at Witchy Wonderland, including Boo-Bounce and other programmed attractions. Face painting and items purchased from food vendors are charged separately.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the entrance.
Red River Exhibition Park also participates in the Access 2 program. When a visitor with a valid Access 2 card purchases admission, their accompanying support person or caregiver can enter at no additional charge.
Part of the proceeds from gate admission will support the Red River Exhibition Foundation’s scholarship and bursary programs for Manitoba students.
