And the new restaurants in Calgary (aside from the bars) include various International options, from Indo-Chinese to Korean, to French.
Bar Chouette
Downtown Calgary can officially welcome Bar Chouette to the downtown neighbourhood on May 31st. And reservations are now open for beyond Bar Chouette’s grand opening celebration. The bar is a French-inspired wine and cocktail bar inside a bright, spacious, and airy dining room. Bar Chouette is open for dinner with a select menu of large and small plates. Explore the bar’s long list of seafood dishes and ask your servers about the best craft cocktail to pair!

DG’s Grill & Bar
DG’s opened about a month ago across from Stampede Park. Aside from being a new place for post-Stampede dinner this summer, you can also find a special for any day of the week. DG’s is open for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders. The menu includes an assortment of small and large plates of elevated pub food. The menu offers something for every preference and taste with a variety of seafood and proteins, vegetarian plates, handhelds, large entrées, and appetizers.

Side Hustle
We all could benefit from a little side hustle. Luckily, this Side Hustle in Calgary requires no work on your part. Side Hustle, a “newish” pub and cocktail bar in Calgary, recently opened to help you relax, not work. The cozy restaurant’s entrance is in the alley behind 33rd Avenue SW to the east of Crowchild Trail. The mysteries around Calgary’s new Mister M are slowly being revealed more and more. Mr. M is scheduled to open in Calgary for June as “a modern supper club experience…through food, drinks and interior.” The Mister M Instagram account so far alludes to an elegant cocktail or dining experience.

Sector 17
You may have already heard of Sector17 and their authentic Indian street food menu, as their newest restaurant in the city is the second Calgary location. Sector 17’s second location is in the Saddle Ridge neighbourhood east of the airport. The menu offers a great deal of variety and an awesome vegetarian menu. Finish the meal with a feature Summer Special Shake.

The next time you feel like a brunch or lunch outing, head downtown to try Calgary’s newest café and bistro: Ranchi. Seoul Gamasot
Seoul Gamasot has only been open for about two months. And the Korean restaurant in Calgary is already making waves with its soup selections of sullungtang and hot pot. Magpie, and their new menu of craft cocktails, are just in time for summer in Calgary. Magpie opened in the city’s East Village with a refreshing set of classic drinks, and the bar’s own creations.
