The event, which has become a hallmark of the city’s playoff season, will see Donald Street transform into a vibrant hub of community spirit and hockey fervour, thanks to the collaborative efforts of True North Sports + Entertainment, the Manitoba government, the City of Winnipeg, and Economic Development Winnipeg, all in aid of United Way Winnipeg.

The festivities, which align with home playoff games, will offer live broadcasts on three massive screens, ensuring that up to 5,000 attendees can partake in the excitement.

In addition to live broadcasts, attendees can look forward to a lively atmosphere with music, food, and exclusive merchandise.

Half of the proceeds of $10 tickets will support United Way Winnipeg’s efforts to address homelessness, mental health, and addiction issues in the city. The initiative has a track record of success, having raised over $212,000 in previous years for local agencies.

“Our government is excited to help bring the Jets whiteout parties to downtown Winnipeg for what we hope is a lengthy playoff run,” said Premier Wab Kinew in a statement.

“Not only do whiteout parties benefit downtown businesses and raise money for housing and mental health supports – they’re a fantastic way to come together as a community. Whiteout parties are a great, affordable way to experience the atmosphere of playoff hockey.

The Manitoba government will provide up to $300,000 to support the parties.

Fans holding tickets to games at Canada Life Centre will enjoy free access to the street parties.
