Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants in 2024

In its 10th Anniversary issue, Canada’s 100 Best has revealed this year’s 100 dining leaders, showcasing a mix of new and returning favourites.

Mon Lapin in Montreal and Edulis in Toronto are among the top ten, joined by newcomers like 20 Victoria in Toronto and Bar Kismet in Halifax. Also highlighted are the year’s new dining spots, including Marilena in Victoria, which earned the title of Best New Restaurant.

Toronto continues to shine with multiple entries like Casa Paco and Sushi Yugen, while Montreal, maintaining its title as the nation’s culinary capital, boasts 28 restaurants on the list. Ontario slightly outnumbers Quebec with 34 entries.

This year, the awards recognized various establishments for excellence in different categories. Mon Lapin not only tops the list but also received accolades for its sommelier team, Vanya Filipovic and Alex Landry. Kenta Takahashi of Boulevard in Vancouver was named Best Pastry Chef for the third time.

Bar Prima in Toronto was celebrated for its design, and Paul Toussaint of Kamúy in Montreal was honored with the American Express Award for Community Leadership. Langdon Hall in Cambridge was recognized as the Best Destination Restaurant, emphasizing its appeal to culinary tourists.
