Events Description
Each spring, Butterfield Acres welcomes Calgary families to celebrate the arrival of newborn farm animals during the Spring Babies Festival.
Visitors can meet baby goats, lambs, chicks, piglets and other young animals while enjoying a hands-on farm experience just minutes from the city. The festival offers a variety of farm activities including tractor-pulled wagon rides, pony rides for young riders, cozy fire pits, seasonal treats and plenty of spring photo opportunities.
Special visits from the Easter Bunny will take place April 3, 4 and 5.
Visitors may also see traditional farm activities such as horse hoof trimming by the farrier and sheep shearing demonstrations on select weekends.
To provide a relaxed farm experience, visits are scheduled in two-hour ticket windows and advance ticket purchase is required.
Butterfield Acres is located on the northwest edge of Calgary and offers families a chance to experience farm life and meet newborn animals up close.
